One of the most ancient and feared of all, Lycans are hunters and scavengers that usually live in packs, as loners they tend to run wild or slip up without a pack to support and protect them, and thus get themselves killed by authorities or hunters relatively quick. When a number of packs exist in an area, the strongest Lycan among the packs generally asserts authority as leader of the pack, and all Lycans in the area defer to their wrath, often creating a stable situation at least until their strength falters. Most or few Lycans are adventurers often fighting a losing battle against their own impulses, hoping to either find a cure or a method of staving off the beast within over the course of their travels. A rare few Lycans cling more steadily to their humanity, and use their affliction to advance external goals, rather than merely battling the monster inside themselves. While there are some Lycans that can transform the most civilized into a ravening beast.

 

In their natural form, a Lycan appears as a normal Human. However, over time some acquire features suggestive of their bestial form. Although in their bestial form, a Lycan resembles a powerful version of a normal animal. On close inspection, its eyes show a faint spark of unnatural intelligence and some might even glow yellow in the dark. There are some Lycans who hide among normal folk, emerging in animal form to either protect or to spread terror and bloodshed, especially under a full moon. While other Lycans are reclusive and uncomfortable around other civilizations, often living alone in wilderness areas far from major cities or towns.

We do not regulate this, giving you more freedom in your role playing experience. We leave it up to the player of the Lycan character that will be turning the Humanoid character. However please be sure that you have permission from the player of the character prior to beginning the process.
